Muy estimados hermanos/as Misioneros. Confiando en la Providencia de Dios se encuentren bien, les saludo con la Esperanza cristiana que nos anima a mantenernos alegres, ser constantes en la tribulación y perseverantes en la oración (Rom 12, 12), también deseo que sus familias y sus comunidades estén bien.

En el mes de noviembre, nuestra santa Iglesia nos invita a orar por el eterno descanso de nuestros fieles difuntos, y es una obra buena orar por los difuntos, nuestra fe cristiana profesa solemnemente “creo en la resurrección de los muertos y la vida del mundo futuro”. Con esto en nuestro corazón, hemos de perseverar en nuestro peregrinar por este mundo, confiando que caminamos hacia la patria eterna, acompañados por nuestro Señor Jesucristo pan de vida eterna.

 Para nosotros los cristianos Cristo Resucitado es nuestra esperanza, pero también es nuestro Pan de Vida. El discurso que Jesús ofrece sobre el Pan de Vida ciertamente parece complejo, pero tienen muchas capas, a un nivel puede entenderse como la Palabra de Dios que nutre al pueblo en su camino a la Tierra Prometida. A otro nivel, el pan representa el proyecto de Dios para cada creyente que confía en El. Finalmente, el pan se identifica con Jesús, el enviado del Padre, y comerlo significa aceptar su Palabra y vivir en gratitud al Padre.

El pan también puede referirse a la Eucaristía, como un alimento que convierte a los creyentes en seres “crísticos”, dispuestos a entregarse por los demás, como lo hizo Cristo.

Como Misioneros, necesitamos estar siempre en sintonía con este Pan de Vida eterna, reconocer que alimentarse de Cristo, es dejar que Él sea el principio vital de nuestra existencial. El Señor dice: “Yo soy el Pan que ha bajado del cielo” (Jn 6, 51). No se trata solo de recibir un alimento espiritual, sino de asumir que toda nuestra vida tiene su origen y sentido en Él. Así como el pan cotidiano sostiene el cuerpo, la comunión con Cristo sostiene la vida interior del creyente y la orienta hacia la eternidad. Comer de este pan es acoger su Palabra, su modo de vivir, su entrega. Es permitir que Él se asimile en nosotros hasta que sea posible decir como Pablo: “Ya no soy yo quien vive, es Cristo quien vive en mi” (Gal 2, 20) De ahí nace una espiritualidad de la dependencia amorosa: cuanto más nos nutrimos de Cristo, menos nos bastamos a nosotros mismos. La verdadera madurez cristiana consiste en la vida en comunión, permaneciendo unidos al Hijo, que nos comunica la vida del Padre.

Nuestra vida misionera es un permanecer en Cristo, este permanecer se convierte en el camino para servir con amor fecundo. Jesús afirma: “El que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre permanece en mí y yo en él” (Jn 6, 56). Esta permanencia mutua es el corazón del discipulado. No es una unión pasiva, sino dinámica que transforma al creyente en prolongación viva del amor a Cristo. El que permanece en Él se vuelve signo visible de su presencia, testigo de su compasión y servidor de su Reino. Quien participa del Cuerpo y la Sangre del Señor se compromete a ser, en el mundo, pan partido y vino derramado para los demás. Servir deja de ser un deber, para convertirse en una consecuencia natural del amor recibido: quien ha sido habitado por Cristo no puede sino amar y servir con la misma ternura del Maestro que lava los pies de sus discípulos.

Mi oración con fe por cada uno de ustedes, para que juntos vayamos creciendo en el don del servicio, a la luz de permanecer y perseverar en aquel que es nuestro Pan de Vida eterna: Jesucristo, nuestro amigo y Señor. Que la Virgen María, interceda por nuestras necesidades y nos ayude a seguir esperando con ánimo y fe.

• En el mes de noviembre se lleva a cabo el Encuentro # 226. Hombres 6 al 9, Mujeres 13 al 16. Mantengamos en oración.

 

• El día 22 de noviembre, se realizará un concierto de oración y alabanza. En horario de 4:00 a 8:00 PM.                                                                                       

                  Por favor a todas las comunidades apoyar este evento, habrá rifas y venta de comidas.

• Desde ya nos vamos a ir preparando para celebrar el novenario en honor a la virgen de Guadalupe, en la explanada del centro misionero. El novenario se realizará del 3 al 11 de diciembre.
• Se aproxima nuestra Fiesta Kermes, que cada año se realizamos en conjunto con la Parroquia Ntra. Señora de la Soledad en Coachella. La fecha propuesta para celebrarse es el 7 de diciembre. Por favor preparémonos para apoyar este evento de recaudación de fondos.
• El día 19 de noviembre se llevará a cabo la comunidad de comunidades en inglés, en horario de 6:00 pm, por favor todas las comunidades en ingles están invitadas a participar.
• Una bendecida y feliz fiesta de Acción de Gracias para todos.

My dearest missionary brothers and sisters, trusting in God’s Providence that you are well, I greet you with the Christian hope that encourages us to remain joyful, steadfast in tribulation, and persevering in prayer (Romans 12:12). I also wish that your families and communities are doing well.

In the month of November, our holy Church invites us to pray for the eternal rest of our faithful departed. It is a good and holy act to pray for the dead. Our Christian faith solemnly professes, “I believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.” With this in our hearts, we must persevere in our pilgrimage through this world, trusting that we walk toward our eternal homeland, accompanied by our Lord Jesus Christ, the Bread of Eternal Life.

For us Christians, the Risen Christ is our hope, but He is also our Bread of Life. The discourse that Jesus gives on the Bread of Life may seem complex, but it has many layers. On one level, it can be understood as the Word of God that nourishes His people on their journey to the Promised Land. On another level, the bread represents God’s plan for each believer who trusts in Him. Finally, the bread is identified with Jesus, the One sent by the Father, and to eat it means to accept His Word and live in gratitude to the Father.
The bread can also refer to the Eucharist, as nourishment that transforms believers into “Christ-like beings,” ready to give themselves for others, just as Christ did.

As Missionaries, we must always be in tune with this Bread of Eternal Life, recognizing that to be nourished by Christ is to allow Him to be the vital principle of our very existence. The Lord says, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven” (John 6:51). It is not merely about receiving spiritual food, but about understanding that our entire life finds its origin and meaning in Him. Just as daily bread sustains the body, communion with Christ sustains the inner life of the believer and directs it toward eternity. To eat this bread is to embrace His Word, His way of living, His self-giving. It is to allow Him to become one with us until we can say with Paul: “It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). From this springs a spirituality of loving dependence: the more we are nourished by Christ, the less we rely on ourselves. True Christian maturity consists of life in communion, remaining united to the Son, who shares with us the life of the Father.

Our missionary life is one of remaining in Christ; this abiding becomes the path to serve with fruitful love. Jesus declares, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him” (John 6:56). This mutual abiding is the heart of discipleship. It is not a passive union but a dynamic one that transforms the believer into a living extension of Christ’s love. Whoever abides in Him becomes a visible sign of His presence, a witness of His compassion, and a servant of His Kingdom. Those who partake of the Body and Blood of the Lord commit themselves to being, in the world, bread broken and wine poured out for others. Service ceases to be a duty and becomes a natural consequence of love received: whoever is indwelt by Christ cannot help but love and serve with the same tenderness as the Master who washed His disciples’ feet.

My prayer, made in faith for each of you, is that together we may grow in the gift of service, in the light of abiding and persevering in Him who is our Bread of Eternal Life, Jesus Christ, our friend and Lord. May the Virgin Mary intercede for our needs and help us to continue hoping with courage and faith.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

• During the month of November, Encounter #226 will take place: Men’s Encounter, November 6–9; Women’s Encounter, November 13–16. Let us keep these events in our prayers.
• On November 22, there will be a Concert of Prayer and Praise from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
  Please, all communities are encouraged to support this event—there will be raffles and food sales.
• We will soon begin preparing to celebrate the Novena in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, to be held at the Mission Center Plaza from December 3–11.
• Our annual Kermes Festival is approaching, held together with Our Lady of Soledad Parish in Coachella.
  The proposed date is December 7. Please prepare to support this important fundraising event.
• On November 19, there will be a Community of Communities gathering in English at 6:00 PM. All English-speaking communities are invited to participate.
