“Misioneros de Esperanza entre los pueblos”
¡Paz y Bendiciones!
Queridos hermanos y hermanas misioneros, deseo en Dios cada uno de ustedes se encuentre bien, viviendo su fe en sintonía con el “ser de misionero” que nos caracteriza, disponiéndose a la Palabra de Dios y viviéndola en actos concretos de esperanza.
El mes de octubre nuestra Santa Iglesia Católica, lo dedica a orar por todas las obras de misión en el mundo, en particular a orar por todos los misioneros que, en diferentes partes del mundo, van anunciando el mensaje del Evangelio de Jesucristo. Para este año se ha elegido el lema: “Misioneros de esperanza entre los pueblos” que recuerda a cada cristiano y a la Iglesia, comunidad de bautizados, la vocación fundamental a ser mensajeros y constructores de la esperanza, siguiendo las huellas de Cristo.
Nosotros queridos hermanos/as misioneros, estamos llamados a mantener encendida la llama de la esperanza que nos ha sido dada, y hacer todo lo posible para que cada uno recupere la fuerza y la certeza de mirar al futuro con mente abierta, corazón confiado y amplitud de mirada. Como hombres y mujeres de fe se nos confía una gran misión, la de ser discípulos misioneros empezando en nuestras familias y pequeña comunidad de fe; unirnos en oración por esta gran obra del Señor a través de todos los misioneros, que con su vida y sacrificio se hacen disponibles para ir y compartir vida y fe con tantas personas. Es más, la experiencia de haber vivido el Encuentro Misionero nos compromete a ser fieles a nuestra vocación de bautizados, y por tanto enviados a anunciar la luz del Evangelio, con nuestras vidas transformadas y siempre iluminadas por la luz de Cristo. Así, nuestro ser de misioneros no se reduce, solamente a ir a una pequeña comunidad, o servir un Encuentro; cuando tomamos conciencia de nuestra identidad y de nuestra espiritualidad misionera, nos damos cuenta de que estamos llamados a más, a ir descubriendo con la ayuda del Espíritu Santo, donde más podemos hacer presente a Jesús amigo y su Evangelio.
En este tiempo de nuestra historia y vida presente, se abre ante nosotros muchos retos y situaciones muy adversas que nos desaniman a continuar en el caminar de nuestra vida misionera, pero no hemos de desfallecer, “Cristo el Señor en la sinagoga de Nazaret, declaró el cumplimiento de la Escritura en el “hoy” de su presencia histórica. De ese modo, se reveló como el enviado del Padre con la unción del Espíritu Santo para llevar la Buena Noticia del Reino de Dios e inaugurar «un año de gracia del Señor» para toda la humanidad (cf. Lc 4,16-21). En este místico “hoy”, que perdura hasta el fin del mundo, Cristo es el cumplimiento de la salvación para todos, particularmente para aquellos cuya esperanza es Dios. Él, en su vida terrena, «pasó haciendo el bien y curando a todos» del mal y del Maligno (cf. Hch 10,38), devolviendo la esperanza en Dios a los necesitados y al pueblo. Además, experimentó todas las fragilidades humanas, excepto la del pecado, pasando también momentos críticos, que podían conducir a la desesperación, como en la agonía del Getsemaní y en la cruz. Pero Jesús encomendaba todo a Dios Padre, obedeciendo con plena confianza a su plan salvífico para la humanidad, plan de paz para un futuro lleno de esperanza (cf. Jr 29,11). De esa manera, se convirtió en el divino Misionero de la esperanza, modelo supremo de todos aquellos que, a lo largo de los siglos, llevan adelante la misión recibida de Dios, incluso en las pruebas extremas.”
Queridos hermanos/as misioneros es tiempo de abrazar con esperanza cada paso de nuestra vida, de fortalecer nuestro caminar de fe, siendo constantes en la oración y perseverantes en cultivar el sentido de comunidad. Para esto contamos con la asistencia del Santo Espíritu de Dios, y la poderosa intercesión de María nuestra buena Madre, a quien encomiendo cada una de sus vida y necesidades. Que ella la mujer de fe y esperanza que espero anhelante lo mejor para su pueblo, nos ayude a encontrar en nuestras vidas y nuestro programa misionero, un gran sentido de unidad a la luz de vivir en la esperanza, que nos da su Hijo muy amando Jesucristo.

AVISOS
- Damos gracias a Dios por la celebración del Encuentro Misionero # 224 realizado el pasado mes de septiembre.
- Estamos en las juntas de formación para celebrar el Encuentro Misionero #225 en inglés, por favor mantengan en oración esta formación.
- En octubre 10 al 12, celebraremos el Encuentro de jóvenes # 94, sigamos orando por todos ellos.
- En octubre del 16 al 19 celebraremos el Encuentro Misionero en inglés de hombres y del 23 al 26 de mujeres.
- El lunes 20 de octubre 2025, tendremos nuestra comunidad de comunidades en español, todas las comunidades están invitadas a participar. Iniciará a las 6:00 pm.
- Debido al muy corto tiempo para organizar nuestra convención misionera, por este ano no se llevará a cabo. Pero realizaremos un concierto de alabanza y oración con el lema: “Misioneros de Esperanza”, tendremos un predicador de Costa Rica y una cantante católica de Argentina. Este evento será el sábado 22 de noviembre en horario de 4:00 a 9:00 pm. Invito a todos los misioneros a participar de este evento.
- El coordinador de eventos estará visitando las comunidades, para hacerles entrega de boletos para el concierto de alabanza y oración; y nos ayuden a venderlos.
- Los coordinadores de comunidad de comunidades se pondrán en comunicación con los coordinadores de sus pequeñas comunidades, para pedir su ayuda en vender comida y aguas el día del concierto, por favor apoyar esta iniciativa.
- La junta de padrinos para el Encuentro # 226 será el 29 de octubre 20205 a las 6:00 pm en el PMV.

“Missionaries of Hope Among the People”

Dear missionary brothers and sisters, I hope and pray you’re all doing well, living out your faith in the spirit of being missionaries; open to God’s Word and putting it into practice through real acts of hope.
Every October, our Catholic Church sets aside this month to pray for all the mission work happening around the world. In a special way, we also pray for all the missionaries who are sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in so many different places. This year’s theme is: “Missionaries of Hope Among the People.” It’s a reminder to every Christian, and to the Church as a whole, that our calling as baptized people is to be messengers and builders of hope, following in the footsteps of Christ.
We, dear missionary brothers and sisters, are called to keep the flame of hope burning within us. We’re asked to do everything we can so that others can find the strength and confidence to face the future with open minds, trusting hearts, and clear vision. As people of faith, we’ve been given an important mission: to be missionary disciples, starting first in our families and small faith communities. We are also called to join in prayer for the work of the Lord through all missionaries, who, by their lives and sacrifices, make themselves available to go out and share life and faith with so many people.
The experience of living a Missionary Encounter also commits us to stay true to our vocation as baptized people, which means being sent to share the light of the Gospel with lives that are transformed and lit up by Christ. Our missionary calling isn’t just about visiting a small community or serving at an Encounter. When we really understand who we are and what it means to live as missionaries, we see that God is asking us for more: with the help of the Holy Spirit, we are called to discover new ways and places where we can bring the presence of Jesus and his Gospel.
In our present lives, we face many challenges and difficult situations that can make us want to give up on the missionary path. But we must not lose heart. Remember, in the synagogue at Nazareth, Jesus declared that the Scriptures were fulfilled in him, in the “today” of his presence. He showed himself as the one sent by the Father, anointed by the Spirit, to bring the Good News of God’s Kingdom and to begin “a year of grace from the Lord” for all humanity (cf. Lk 4:16–21). In this mystical “today,” which lasts until the end of time, Christ is salvation for everyone; especially for those whose hope is in God.
During his earthly life, “He went about doing good and healing all” (cf. Acts 10:38). He gave hope back to the people and to those in need. He also experienced all the weaknesses we know as humans, except sin. He lived through very hard times, moments that could have led to despair, like in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross. But Jesus entrusted everything to God the Father, trusting completely in his plan of salvation for humanity; a plan of peace and a future full of hope (cf. Jer 29:11). In this way, Jesus became the divine Missionary of Hope, the greatest model for everyone who continues God’s mission, even when facing extreme trials.
So, dear brothers and sisters, now is the time to embrace every step of our lives with hope, to strengthen our walk of faith, to stay faithful in prayer, and to persevere in building up our sense of community. We are not alone in this. We have the help of the Holy Spirit and the loving intercession of Mary, our good Mother. I entrust each of your lives and needs to her. She is a woman of faith and hope, who longed for the best for her people. May she help us to find, in our lives and in our missionary program, a strong sense of unity in the light of hope that comes from her beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- We thank God for Missionary Encounter #224, which took place last September.
- We are now in formation meetings to prepare for Missionary Encounter #225 in English. Please keep this time of preparation in your prayers.
- From October 10–12, we’ll celebrate Youth Encounter #94. Let’s continue praying for all the young people who will take part.
- From October 16–19, we will hold the Men’s Missionary Encounter in English, and from October 23–26, the Women’s Missionary Encounter.
- On Monday, October 20, 2025, we will have our Community of Communities gathering in Spanish. All communities are invited to join us. We’ll start at 6:00 p.m.
- Because of the short amount of time we had to prepare, we will not hold our missionary convention this year. Instead, we will have a Praise and Prayer Concert with the theme: “Missionaries of Hope.” We’ll be joined by a preacher from Costa Rica and a Catholic singer from Argentina. This event will take place on Saturday, November 22, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. I warmly invite all missionaries to be part of this event.
- The event coordinator will be visiting the communities to deliver tickets for the concert and to ask for your help in selling them.
- The coordinators of the Community of Communities will contact the coordinators of the small communities to ask for help with selling food and drinks on the day of the concert. Please support this effort.
- The godparents’ meeting for Encounter #226 will be held on October 29, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the PMV.
